“Law Is Better Than War!”, prized in 2007 by the Council of Europe, is considered to be the best international summer school on International Humanitarian Law, with a great tradition, reaching its 8th edition. An essential aspect of the summer school is its academic program, dedicated to contemporary issues of Humanitarian Law, lectured upon by illustrious specialists in this field, like college professors and international judges.
Besides the courses, which will show light on subjects such as the rights of belligerents, sea piracy and Computer Network Attacks, the academic program will also consist of workshops through which the participants get the chance to improve their theoretical knowledge and practice it during the Moot Court Competition.
“Banking and Finance Law” is a relatively new event, one of its kind in South Eastern Europe. Having the desire to cover a vast area of this domain, Banking and Finance Law Summer School has set itself to deepen the study of financing contracts, a topical issue not addressed by the Romanian universities.
The 3rd edition of “Banking and Finance International Summer School” will continue the tradition and will do so by further exploring various standards of loan documentation. The courses will begin with a general introduction of various types of loans. Afterwards the courses will explore LMA standard documentation. This year`s Academic Agenda will also include courses that will introduce the participants to risks and risk related issues regarding loan agreements.
With these in mind, we aim to bring together students from all over the world, lecturers from top Universities and reputable practitioners and to give them the opportunity to debate on what is really going on these days as far as Humanitarian Law and Banking and Finance Law are concerned.
